Oriental Foo Dog Limoges Box

This incredible box shows a Chinese Foo Dog sitting on top of a pedestal, probably guarding the Forbidden City. The dog is colorful with fantastic detail and he looks very fierce. His ears and tail are gold. The pedestal is green with gold curly queues and has a clasp of an Asian woman carrying an umbrella. There is a hand painted feather inside. The box is marked Peint Main, Limoges France and measures 4"h x 1¾"w.
