This bird is perched on a limb, perhaps waiting for someone to put out a few seeds? His feathers are mostly brown and tan, but he has a handsome red head and yellow eyes. This terrific box is a flacon style, with the two pieces connected by a chain instead of a hinge. The box is marked Peint Main, Limoges France and is signed and numbered by the artist. It measures 3½"h x 1½"w.
