This incredible box is a miniature of the fabulous Paris Opera House by Charles Garnier. This is the famous Opera House that the Phantom of the Opera (fiction) was said to live beneath. It is painted in beautifully shaded tones of taupe and deep teal green with gold statues on the top and each front corner. The clasp is a PARIS banner and there is a porcelain Phantom of the Opera mask tucked inside. The box is marked Peint Main, Limoges France and measures 2¼"h x 2½"w.
