Grasshopper and Ant Limoges Box

Remember the old fable of the Grasshopper and the Ant? The grasshopper fiddled and played all summer while the ant busily gathered food for the winter. This Grasshopper is dressed in his finest clothes and is fiddling away! His fiddle is porcelain but the bow is made of metal. The clasp is a treble clef and his friend, the Ant, is tucked inside. The box is marked Peint Main, Limoges France and measures 3¾"h x 2½"w.
