This box is a miniature version of the famous Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in North Carolina. First built in 1802, it is easily recognized by its bold spiral of black and white stripes. The clasp is a flower and there is a sailboat painted inside. The box is marked Artoria Peint Main, Limoges France and is signed and numbered by the artist. It measures 4¼"h x 1½"w.
