Wow, this basket looks so realistic that it's hard to believe it is actually made of porcelain. The basket is a dark scarlet color with gold "wicker" woven through. The handle is made with a metal wrapped rod that loops from side to side. The clasp is a pair of scissors and there are three porcelain sewing tools inside - a thimble, spool of thread and a pair of scissors. Extra pins and needles are painted inside the lid. The box is marked Chamart Peint Main, Limoges France and measures 2¾"h x 2¼"w.
