Chanille Calliope Organ Limoges Box

This has to be one of the best musical Limoges boxes I've seen! It is one of those fantastic calliope organs that you just never see anymore. This one is decorated in soft pastel colors of blues and purples with lots of flowers trimming the edges. Each side has a beautiful scene painted in an insert and framed by curvy gold lines. The front has chrome colored bars to look like the bars of the calliope and there is a working crank on the side. Turn the crank and you will hear a lovely melody played by the music box hidden inside. The clasp is a man playing the guitar and there are musical notes and a musical score painted inside. The box is marked Chanille Peint Main, Limoges France and is signed and numbered by the artist. Approximate size is 3½ x 3¼ inches.
